So sometimes plans change, even when you really, realllyy, REALLY don't want them too. I saved up all last winter to be able to afford the dues at my local Crossfit Gym, but was then crushed when I wasn't able to get the student rate. There was just no way to get together the almost $1000 dollars required for a 6 month pass. Then there were tears, yes actual tears, and more saving. But I am not the only one in my family that has lofty goals to meet. My husband is in medical school and at the end of the summer it became imperative that he have his own car...so there went not just the Crossfit fund, but my whole life savings. No tears this time. Savings and doing without continue on...I was ready to start at the beginning of October! Yeah, finally 8 months later.... but then an unexpected death in the family, insert lots of real tears here, swooped out of no where. Once again precious Crossfit money was used for a last minute plan flight to Alaska. As of today, October 15th, there is almost enough money in the account and just one small issue...a broken, but rapidly healing toe. It has been a week and it looks so beautiful compare to the initial injury.
