Before Pictures-

















So my long suffering husband agreed to take my "before" CrossFit pictures, I am still learning to use my new camera and got it stuck on poster mode but it will give you, and me, the general idea of where I am starting from. I would like to mention that I am typically pretty pleased with my shape and so forth. I am hoping for a visible change in the next 6 months, none the less. I am still contemplating what my specific goals will be.......

What does 18.5% body fat look like?...


It looks like me, apparently. On Saturday morning, at 7:15:49am I had my body composition analyzed in a lab inside of a truck by a guy named Brian. Brain was nice. I told him I am starting CrossFit and a blog about my adventures, he was nice enough to take a couple pictures to make this more interesting. Here I am getting ready to be dunked.... I was pretty surprised by the results. During my time at 24 Hour fitness I had my body fat measured with the calipers a couple times and it was around 21.5%. So 18.5% is my official "Before" body fat percentage. I was also happy with my height 5'4'' and a quarter, sometimes I don't get that quarter inches. Dry weight: 127.6 lb Lean Body Mass: 104.1 lb Body Fat: 23.5 lb.
The water was very warm and being the second person of the day, it was also very clean. Here is me completely under the water trying very hard to get every last bit of air out. The black thing on my legs is a weight to keep my feet from floating up.
